Balatongyörök Beach is open every year from June to 2 September.
We would like to inform you that the official last day of the bathing season at the beaches of Balatongyörök is Sunday, September 1, 2024. From September 2, the beaches will be accessible free of charge until the next season.
The beach gate is closed by the security service at 01:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 24:00 on other days. The service primarily serves the relaxation of local residents, resort owners, and resort guests, and on the other hand, the protection of the beach’s infrastructure and orderly environment. It can be visited free of charge after opening hours, from 18:00. until the beach closes. The beach opens at 8:00 a.m. due to morning cleaning and maintenance, it is not open before that.
The Balatongyörök beach is one of the most popular bathing sites in the region as it offers numerous services for those seeking waterfront pleasures:
- for families and children: 120 meters of sandy beaches, playgrounds, water slides,
- for those seeking recreation: alternating shady and sunny spots, sun tanning pier
- for those seeking active pastimes: beach volleyball, paddle boat rental, kayak, SUP and canoe rental, water polo pitch in the open waters, water basketball
- for safety purposes: lifeguards and medical supervision during the opening hours of the beach, safe deposit lockers
- miscellaneous services: free internet, bicycle storage, sporting equipment rental, beach radio, free parking, restaurants and buffets offering a range of dining experiences

The beach has a main entrance, which can be reached from the railway crossing, as well as a second bank, which can be reached from the railway pedestrian overpass or the bicycle path. Both entrances are barrier-free, making it convenient for guests with reduced mobility or wheelchairs.

Safe deposit box: More than 60 safes can be rented per day. Rental and information at the beach ticket office

Changing facilities: Guests visiting here can use changing booths and changing buildings located in several places. A changing room for the disabled can be found in the middle and at the back of the beach.
- Washroom: It operates continuously in two areas on the beach, in which buildings there is also a toilet for people with limited mobility. For our guests arriving with small children, there are 2 changing rooms in these buildings, with a changing table, maternity armchair, and hand sanitizer
We would like to inform our dear guests that tickets can only be purchased in person at the box office. Advance purchase or online ticket purchase is not possible! You can pay with cash, bank card and SZÉP card on the beach in Balatongyörök!
