Roman Spring

It was used as a water source for the Roman palace at the time. In the past, it was called Chapel-well, and its history is written on slabs nearby.

It was renovated in 2001 by the Association for the Youth of Balatongyörök.

The spring’s crystal clear water is flowing through a stone well, in a well-kept environment. There are benches around, and a fireplace for those who want to escape from the burning sun. The spring, after bursting to the surface, creates a small pond, which is beautiful to see.

It’s easy to access from Szépkilátó on stairs by few minutes of walking.
