The official season of the public beach in Balatongyörök runs from June 6 to September 3, 2025. During this time, everything is in place for a carefree holiday – clean surroundings, a relaxed atmosphere, and breathtaking views of Lake Balaton.
Szépkilátó Beach – where peace meets nature
From June 20, 2025, an entrance ticket is required, but until then, the beach operates as a free public area open to all.
A year-round experience
Outside the summer season and opening hours, Szépkilátó Beach functions as a public promenade and green park – perfect for a peaceful morning coffee or a sunset stroll by the lake, always free and open to visitors.

Friday – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Sunday – 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Due to morning cleaning and maintenance, the beach opens at 8:00 a.m. but not before. Outside opening hours and out of season, it functions as a promenade and public park and can be visited freely.
If you are looking for a real water paradise for families and children, then Szépkilátó beach in Balatongyörök with its fine sandy beach, alternating shaded and sunny areas, is the ideal swimming spot for you!

The beach has barrier-free access and is therefore also suitable for guests with reduced mobility or wheelchairs

Accessibility: Free parking for those arriving by car, disabled parking near the beach. It is a particularly good choice for cyclists as it is located directly on the Balaton cycling ring road and there are built-in bike racks with awnings in the beach area.

Changing facilities: There are changing rooms available for guests. A changing room for people with reduced mobility is available in the water block of the beach.

Washroom: It is constantly in use on the beach and there is also a toilet for people with reduced mobility. For our guests arriving with small children, these buildings have a baby-mama room with a changing table, maternity chair and hand sanitizer.
The water at Szépkilátó Beach in Balatongyörök is of high quality and crystal clear.
We would like to point out to our dear guests that day tickets can only be purchased at the on-site machines. Advance sales or online ticket purchases are not possible!

Season tickets and resident tickets purchased at the community beach are valid for Szépkilátó Beach in Balatongyörök.
Season tickets can be exchanged at Balatongyörök Község Strand.
